Last weekend Kev planned a fabulous outing for us. Don't you just love it when men take the initiative to plan something special? We headed about an hour south of here to the Chaddsford Winery for their annual Wine Festival. I'm pretty sure that by now you've noticed my affinity for wine. Twenty dollars got you a souvenir wine glass and as many trips around the wine tasting stations as you could manage. The weather could not have been more perfect. A jazz band set the mood. Kev packed a picnic lunch for us, so we sat in the grass and enjoyed our mixed greens salad, fruit medley, and sugar cookies. And then we took another trip around the tastings...
A sangria slushee. Whoever made this heavenly concoction is my new best friend...
By the way, do these photos look dark to you? Whenever I edit them at home they look good but when I check them at work they're always dark and blah... so please let me know what you're seeing! I hope everyone has a great week. It's a 3-day work week for me since we leave on Thursday for San Fran... woot, woot!

I really like the close-ups. I think they're fine - don't look dark to me.
I dont think they look dark!! I always enjoy seeing your pics, the grapes and the sign are my faves. Great job!!
You really have some great angles.
I thought the grapes looked a little bit dark. I wanted to see a little more detail.
The rest of them look great to me :)
The first one looks a little dark. What color setting are you using on your camera? I know that for me, when I converted to sRGB for web, it helped tremendously.
I like the way you capture details. I feel like I'm getting the whole story while looking at your pics.
wow... very cool shots. reminds me of the serious of shots i did for the POTD at the Bourbon distillery! Great job. I think they may be a "tad" dark, but not too much.
These are great! I don't think they are too dark at all.... could it be your monitor at work?
These are great shots! I love details. My fav is the 4th one I like the lighting. You're DH sounds awesome... mine would never even think about a picnic lunch!
These are great shots! The first one seems a little dark, but the others seemed fine to me.
April!! Every post you do your photos keep getting better and better! I am SO envious! I read my manual for hours the other day and NOTHING sunk in! ;) You have made so much headway in a short time and I love seeing your updates!
